One Forest, One Mission: United for a Greener Laguna

For our future! The Saving Daigdig Project and Trees 4 Sustainability teamed up at Siniloan Forest Park, Laguna, on August 16, 2025. The event was called “Puno ang Solusyon” which directly translates to “Trees are the Solution.” Two organizations with one common goal: To build a stronger ecosystem and change climate mitigation. Giving us better air, cleaner homes, and protection against floods. Having two organizations with a long-term goal of achieving a sustainable future, teaming up has brought that goal within reach.

We, Saving Daigdig Project, fund projects to protect our environment through every purchase of our recyclable eyewear, which, in this case, is tree planting. On the other hand, Trees 4 Sustainability is an organization that promotes sustainability through programs aimed at environmental preservation.

Recently, there have been many flood incidents across the Philippines, causing properties and belongings to be damaged or destroyed. Despite numerous efforts to combat the calamity, the damage was simply too much. One cause of it? The lack of trees in our areas. While floods are a natural calamity that cannot be avoided, they can still be well-prepared for. A great way to deal with a natural calamity is by using nature too, hence the tree planting.

With a simple act of having a tree planted, we are protected in our future. Trees would absorb the rain and stabilize the water flow, giving our homes the protection they need and the flood control needed. Saving Daigdig Project and Trees 4 Sustainability held this timely event not just to protect our future, but also to raise awareness on how important trees are. The impact of less to no trees has been seen; the floods were massive, and trees are needed more than ever.

The best part? Everyone wanted in. Despite not being able to accommodate more volunteers, the support the two organizations received was overwhelming. People supported remotely, through providing donations along with purchasing Saving Daigdig Eyewears, which contributed to the funding of the project. This gave the volunteers their attire, transportation, meals, and equipment.

The success of this tree planting project was made possible by YOU!

Whether you physically volunteer or remotely help through donations and purchases, your impact is beyond measure.

On behalf of Saving Daigdig Project and Trees 4 Sustainability, thank you for supporting our mission! We become one step closer to achieving our goal of a sustainable future.
